# 小型大寫 Small Cap

一般來說小型大寫字母會略高於小寫字母的 x 字高（x-height）。通常會用在字首縮寫的組織名稱、人名姓氏、西曆年號的BC、AD 等；也常用在全部大寫的文章中以提高易讀性。小型大寫字母不只是將大寫字母縮小，必須調整筆畫粗細使其與原本的大小寫字母相稱，否則排版上會造成灰度不均。
