# 字重

一套完整的字型家族通常會涵蓋多種字重，以供排版的應用需求。各家字型廠商對於字重標記會有不同慣例，常見的有數值及英文標記方式。在數值分類法中，通常標示成「 W1 」，這裡的 Ｗ 指的就是字重（weight）。早期的中文字型名稱中較不易辨識出其間的粗細關係，例如「細明體」、「粗明體」、「特明體」、「超明體」。
