# 字符 Glyph

字型檔案中可被編輯、編碼、運用的基本單位

字符是字型檔案中可被字型製作軟體編輯、編碼對應，並供繪圖和排版軟體讀取、運用的基本單位。包含文字、數字、標點、空格、其他符號等。

為了對應同一字元的不同字形需求，一套字型中有時會製作多個字符給同一個字元，如雙層 a 與單層 𝑎。
